COVID crisis has changed the recruitment process overnight in the following ways -
AI-Based Sourcing and Screening
Various AI-driven tools are being used for sourcing and screening candidates. AI-powered tools like Entelo, Hiretual, Beamery, Arya, Hiredscore, etc. automate the sourcing efforts by attracting talent from different sources. Pomato, ceipal, cvviz, ideal are some of the tools which provide AI-driven talent screening.
From face-to-face to Virtual Interviews
Most of the organizations have shifted from face-to-face to virtual interviews. According to the Gartner HR Survey 86% of the organizations have conducted virtual interviews to hire candidates during the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
According to a Indeed survey, around 50% of employers hired only virtually to avoid physical contact and practice social distancing.
Physical to Virtual Onboarding
Several organizations have moved to remote onboarding to sustain business continuity. LinkedIn expanded its one-day onboarding process into a weeklong virtual program. Several companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Flipkart, P&G, Visa have moved from physical onboarding programs to innovative and fully virtual experiences, as per reports by ET. Organizations are now leveraging the advantages of different onboarding software such as Minerva, ADP, UltiPro, GoCo, etc.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world as well as the whole recruitment process. Due to lockdown and social distancing norms, organizations had to shift to virtual recruitment. Now organizations are actively adopting new technologies to find the right fit.
